The Valley of the Moon Observatory Association will host multiple screenings of The First 70 at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park on Saturday May 19th in the Robert Ferguson Observatory. The film will screen on the hour from 10am to 3pm, and again at 9pm and 11pm. Catch a free daytime solar viewing or gaze through one of their state of the art telescopes after one of the nighttime screenings. The screenings are free to attend, but a suggested donation will go directly to help keep Sugarloaf Ridge open. Park entry fee is $8 per vehicle. Evening telescope viewing is $3. Filmmakers will be in attendance.
Sugarloaf Ridge State Park and the observatory were closed earlier in the year. We’re relieved that the state is now working with several organizations to assume operation of the park.
